Through various work experiences the teens were able to help others in many different ways! Thanks to Gabby Barrett, Tommy Barrett, Aggie Droszcz, Suzanne Forde, Seth Huisenga, Megan Llave, Jessica Noga, Anna Schissler and Heather Thielmann for using their time and talent to helo those less fortunate.
Home Rebuild Multi-Parish Renew My Church Event is a huge success!
On June 7-8-9, the parishes of St. Julie, St. George, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Michael, Our Lady of the Woods, Incarnation and St. Elizabeth Seton came together to build the framework of two homes for families who otherwise could not afford them. On Sunday, the semi-truck was loaded and taken to a site in DuPage County where it will be worked on thru Habitat for Humanity in the coming weeks.
There were about 500 volunteers onsite over the three days in addition to all of the volunteers who offered prayers and graciously donated food / baked goods for the event!
Special visitors included Cardinal Blaise Cupich and Bishop Andrew Wypych as well as many of our priests from the participating parishes.
Thank you to everyone for your prayers, your well-wishes that were written on the walls and for your support. This would not have happened without you. God bless you. You all rock!
Fr Ken Fleck, pastor of Saint George spearheaded this endeavor.
Saint Julie Billiart is blessed to have generous donors who add to the beauty to our Church.
The Sacred Heart Chapel has been graced with this beautiful rendition of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This donation is in loving memory of Reverend Father Patrick Brennan.
The Mysteries of the Rosary adorn the walls of the Mary Chapel. The beautiful plaques depict the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous mysteries of the Rosary. The donation is in loving memory of Myra Newton.
What a beautiful and glorious Easter Morning at Saint Julie Billiart.
As stated in Fr Lou’s homily, “Why do you look for Jesus among the dead? He is alive!” The church was alive and full of life Easter morning. What a glorious day!

ALOHA. Yes, it was a Luau in April for the Young at Heart! They had a wonderful time enjoying the island sounds of Edyson Dayao while enjoying pork chops, mashed potatoes and vegetable medley catered from Don Monaco’s in Oak Forest. The homemade desserts were plentiful and added to the island ambiance. ALOHA.
