Catechists / Office Assistants

January 26, 2017 By

Catechists
These men and women share the faith of the Church with children in the faith formation program as well as witnessing to the faith from their own unique personal  experience.  Catechists facilitate classes for children in the program and attend catechist formation nights for insights into the lessons being presented.

Substitute Catechists
Substitutes are needed due to the absence of a regularly scheduled catechist.  All regular catechists work from lesson plans and their substitutes would have the benefit of this same plan when they step into the classroom.

Office Assistant
The Office assistant works the office during Faith Formation Office in the Devine Center during a particular session.  Their duties include answering the phone and the classroom intercoms, collecting attendance sheets and contacting parents when necessary.

Dismissal Monitor
These adults supervise the children in the front and rear parking lots before and after the sessions.  They maintain good order and promote the safety of the children as they are being dropped off or picked up by parents.

Prayer Minister
Prayer Ministers are parents, grandparents, and/or older siblings who listen to the First Grade students say their prayers to be certain the students have memorized them correctly.
