“Lord, help me to make time today to serve you in those who are most in need of encouragement or assistance”. – St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul is a group of dedicated volunteers who meet to assess and respond to the needs of the people in our community. They do not need to be Catholic, only live within our boundaries or be a member of our parish.
Members of SVDP visit with individuals or families to determine if or how they may be of service. If a situation demands, emergency assistance can be approved, food or shelter provided or offered. Temporary or short term assistance is also available. All cases are reviewed at bimonthly meetings of the members St. Vincent de Paul. During the summer months, SVDP members prepare and serve dinner at a local Pads shelter.
SVDP relies on the generosity of parishioners who support their work throughout the year with donations to the poor box, Give Central contributions, and our Thanksgiving collection.
