Truck Stop Ministry

March 2, 2021 By Barb Theis

One of our parishioners has found it in his heart to minister at truck stops along his route. He said that there’s such a need to bring the love of God out into the world to men and women on the road. They spend so much time on the road and are searching for that solid faith foundation.

If you have any religious items (books, bibles, pamphlets, rosaries, prayer cards, necklaces, medals, etc.) that you’d like to donate to this very worthy ministry, please drop them off at the St. Julie Parish office (west entrance) and label it “Truck Stop Ministry.”

Thank you!

CJB School Spring Tour – March 27

March 2, 2021 By Barb Theis

Due to increased interest, Cardinal Joseph Bernardin School has added a Spring Tour date!  The private tours will be provided by faculty and staff, offering a great opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art campus.

CJB is celebrating its 20th year and is committed to providing a top-rated academic experience, as well as a safe learning environment, centered in faith.  Our focus is on developing each student’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, creative, physical and social needs.  CJB is a regional Catholic school sponsored by four parishes (St. Elizabeth Seton in Orland Hills, St. Francis of Assisi in Orland Park, and two Tinley Park parishes – St. Julie Billiart and St. Stephen, Deacon and Martyr). The school welcomes children from other Catholic parishes, as well as children of other faiths for whom their parents wish a Christ-centered, excellent academic education.

Tours offered between these hours:
10:00am to 2:30pm

Approximate time each tour will last:
30 minutes

Registration is required and space is limited, so don’t wait to sign up! Mandatory safety protocols for the tour include masks, temperature checks and hand sanitizer. More information and a direct link to register is available at the school website, by clicking on the Private Tour link provided here:

Evening Prayer (on Zoom) with Deacon John Benz

March 1, 2021 By Barb Theis

Monday through Friday at 6:00 p.m.

Looking for a way to pray with other Catholics from the safety and comfort of your own home? You are invited to join Deacon John Benz for communal Evening Prayer each Monday through Friday at 6:00 p.m. on Zoom. It takes only about 15 minutes and is a great way to connect with God and relieve the stress of the day. The prayers are projected on the screen (courtesy of DivineOffice.Org) so there is no need for you to have your own breviary.

You can join the 6:00 p.m. Zoom Meeting here:
