One of the Summer Youth Camps, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Chicago, will be held on-site at St. Julie Billiart Parish the week of July 18 – 23, 2021. The name Totus Tuus is Latin for “all yours.” Following is a brief explanation of the purpose of the Totus Tuus Summer Youth Camps:
“The Totus Tuus program aims to inspire young people to long for holiness, develop a deep desire for conversion and personally renew their faith with a stronger prayer life. Through evangelization and catechesis, Totus Tuus seeks to foster openness to the sacrifices and blessings of the various Christian vocations.
The program began in 1987 as a vacation bible school program in the Diocese of Wichita, Kansas. In 2007, Totus Tuus of Chicago launched its pilot program with two teams serving 10 parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Diocese of Joliet. The program continues to expand, now serving over 24 parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago.”

The Men’s Group offers a way to spend some quality time with other men of our parish. Meetings are held on the last Thursday evening of each month and typically include snacks, drinks, social time, and a speaker. Topics and activities will vary. The mission of the group is “Cultivating men of all ages to be committed disciples of Jesus Christ and better husbands, fathers, and men in our community.” The group is open to men who are 21 or older.
At the May 2021 meeting, speaker Gil Hannon shared his experience participating in the Ironman and how he experienced God and family support in times of joy and struggles. Following his presentation, the group talked about these two discussion questions:
- Can you recall a recent situation where you found yourself struggling, you where then able to call on Jesus and things became clearer and the struggle was manageable?
- Can you recall some recent sign in your path of life which you believe was meant for you; you followed the sign, and it led to a closer relationship with Jesus?
Young Adult Group – June 27
We look forward to meeting everyone!
Corpus Christi Procession – June 6
The Corpus Christi procession will conclude with Benediction. Come join us, as St. Julie Billiart Parish honors Our Lord, present in the Eucharist, and share his love.
